AI education for creative and technical growth

This project aims to introduce students to the concepts and practical applications of artificial intelligence. The goal is to equip students with both creative and technical skills to utilize AI for various tasks, from creating content to programming their own AI bots or agents.

Program Structure

Two tracks for creative and technical learning

Creative Track: Prompt Engineering for Generative AI

Objective: Teach students how to effectively use AI tools for creative purposes, such as creating texts, music, or images.

  • Effective Prompt Writing - Learn techniques to formulate effective prompts that deliver desired results from AI models.
  • Technology Overview - Introduce students to various AI tools and technologies that support creative tasks.
  • Practical Examples - Develop prompts that help with homework, create quiz questions, or support learning activities.
Technical Track: Programming with AI Chatbots and Agents

Objective: Provide practical experience in programming AI systems, with a focus on building AI chatbots and agents.

  • AI Chatbot Development
  • Languages and Tools - Students learn HTML, JavaScript, and Python to create their own AI chatbots.
  • Project Idea - Develop an OpenAI GPT-based clone tailored to the school (DSS), allowing students to interact with an AI.
  • AI Agent Development
  • Languages and Tools - Use JavaScript, Python, and Html to develop intelligent agents.
  • Project Idea - Develop a “Study Buddy” agent that handles specific tasks such as organizing study sessions, creating learning materials, or providing quiz questions.

Personal Reflection

Even though I thoroughly enjoyed working with the students and witnessing their genuine engagement with AI through creative coding, music generation, and image creation, my current schedule unfortunately doesn’t allow me to continue this adventure. The enthusiasm and curiosity these young minds showed for AI technology was truly inspiring and reinforced my belief in the importance of introducing computational thinking and AI literacy from an early age.
